Brief Introduction: The 12th Habanos Festival in the year 2010 saw the launch of the Cohiba Behike line (Consisting of Behike 52, 54, and the 56) and quickly gained wide acclaim among cigar connoisseurs around the world. In legend, Behike was the name of a doctor or chieftain of the Tainos, the indigenous tribe of Cuba. The original Behike, the 40th anniversary of the Cohiba brand, was the first time the Behike name had been used on a cigar.
Flavours:
First Third:
A smooth and creamy start with cedar, toasted almonds, and vanilla. Subtle hints of floral sweetness enhance the initial draw, making for an elegant introduction.
Second Third:
The profile deepens, revealing dark chocolate, caramelized nuts, and aged leather. Hints of sweet spice and dried fruit emerge, adding complexity without overpowering the palate.
Final Third:
A crescendo of espresso, oak, and smoky depth, balanced with a lingering creamy nuttiness and peppery spice, rounding off this luxurious experience.
Synopsis: In summary, this cigar is an exceptional Cohiba, a very smooth, never too strong but that has great tasting flavours. It goes especially well with special occasions. The Man Behind the Behike line is Jorge Luís Fernández Maique who sent people out into the warehouses in Pinar del Río to look for old tobacco and found some bales of three years plus age. This was the start of the successful journey of the now world-renowned Behike Series of Habanos S.A.
