Brief Introduction: The Cuaba Habanos brand is a current post-Revolution brand introduced in 1996, was specifically established to produce Figurado shaped cigars. CUABA Tradicionales vitola was one of the 1st few on this brand also introduced in the year 1996. Tradicionales is rather thin, perhaps the thinnest dual pointed cigar.
Flavours: Tradicionales starts with sweet cocoa that sours a bit with some bread, fruity and cocoa adding before the white pepper dominates the finish. Also in the 2nd third, some mellow woodiness with hints of herbs and subtle honey with a mild and toasted tobacco taste leaving a pleasant smooth woody and sweet aftertaste.
Synopsis: Cuaba, like Cohiba, is a Taino Indian word dating back to the time of Columbus. It was their name for a highly combustible bush, which the Indians used to light their ‘Cohibas’. The range comprises medium to full-strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region. The CUABA Tradicionales comes in a Dress Box of 25 cigars which was officially discontinued in the year 2012, but still, git back into production as recently as 2016.
